Letitia Royle

about me

Hiya, I’m Letitia Royle – a passionate creative with a love for storytelling, presenting, and performance. At school, I was Deputy Head Girl, which led to experiences like interviewing Ella Toone for the Manchester United Foundation, my first real taste of media. Since then, I’ve gained hands-on experience in journalism and broadcasting through work experience at Tameside Radio with Cameron Kennedy and Mark Andrews, working on reports and interviews including Stagecoach Buses’ Easter visit to Tameside Hospital in the Children's Ward, and Emma Toone at my old high school for International Women’s Day.

My radio journey began when Dave Sweetmore gave me a chance, leading to my co-production role on his show on a Monday night 7pm-9pm and my own feature, Letitia’s Cover by Another. Now I co-produce and present The Laura Beth Show (on a Monday 7pm-9pm on Tameside Radio 103.6FM) where I conduct interviews for the 60 Second Profile feature that Laura did on Dave Sweetmore's show. At the BBC, I met people like, Nikki Tapper and Kate Hillman, learning news reading, sound mixing, and podcast creation. I also collaborated with Reform Radio on radio and podcast projects.

Alongside media, I train in acting with Anthony Crank at Manchester Television Workshops and ActUpNorth with Lucy Dixon, James Oates, and Rick Bithell, while networking with casting directors like David Crowley. To gain some experience on a set, I’ve appeared as an extra in Hollyoaks, Coronation Street, After the Flood, and more. I perform with Murder 57, improvising murder mystery events across the country. I used to attend Oldham Coliseum and Oldham Theatre Workshops, and intend to begin again!

In college, I studied Media, creating short films, adverts, and a TV show. At heart, I’m a radio presenter and actor, balancing creative work with a barista role at M&S.
